| Core OSDMs |
|
Using high quality prompts and call flows developed by our expert user interface (UI) designers, optimized grammars developed by our speech scientists, and OSR’s accurate and flexible recognition algorithms, core OSDMs efficiently capture caller information in a single step. This means that using OSDMs, just one turn in the conversation is required to gather information for the following types of information in application:
OSDM Task
|
Description |
Yes/No
|
Captures the response to yes/no questions. |
| Alpha-Numeric |
Captures a connected string of up to 20 alpha or digit characters. |
| Digits |
Optimized for digit recognition accuracy, this OSDM allows developers
to specify the length of the digit string to be recognized to further improve
results. |
| Natural Number |
Handles pronunciation of digit sequences as natural numbers (such as one hundred twenty three instead of one two three). |
| Record |
Simply records a caller’s input. No recognition is carried out. |
| Postal Code |
Captures numeric or alphanumeric postal codes in a variety of countries. |
| Phone Number |
Accepts numbers that follow the North American Numbering Plan with 10-digit
(long distance), 7 digit (local) or 3-digit numbers (such as 411, 911).
For other languages & locales, the OSDM reflects the appropriate local
format. |
| Currency |
Collects a spoken value representing currency amounts, using digits or
natural numbers. |
| Date |
Collects a date spoken in multiple formats (plus tomorrow, today and
yesterday). For ease of development, the OSDM maps all input formats into
YYYYMMDD format internally. |
| Credit Card Number |
Collects a credit card number & determines what type of credit card
the number refers to (e.g., VISA, MasterCard…). Verifies that the
number is legitimate. |
| Credit Card Expiration |
Collects a date (typically in month/year or month/last day of month/year
format) representing the expiration date of a credit card. |
| Social Security No. |
Collects U.S. Social Security & British National Insurance Numbers. |
| Time of Day |
Once again, multiple time formats are supported. |
