- Electronic Signature
The Dictaphone iChart Workstation also provides complete electronic signature capability, another time-saver. This feature can be used with or without speech recognition self-editing. After review, one click of the signature button signs the report and sends it back to the dictation/transcription system for automatic distribution. An immediate copy of the electronically signed report can also be created via a workstation-connected printer.
- Intelligent Report Distribution
A powerful option of the iChart system is intelligent report distribution, which significantly reduces staff processing time and maximizes report turnaround time. Transcribed reports can be automatically routed—in batch or real-time—over the Internet to connected printers, fax machines and e-mail addresses. Additionally, reports can be automatically uploaded to data repositories at your facility after completion.

The command center for iChart is Dictaphone’s own Data Center, which today is processing over 20 million lines of dictation per month. Security is an understandable concern for all healthcare providers. Dictaphone uses the highest current level of available encryption software as well as VPN technology to insure security. - iChart Voice Recovery
System backup and recovery from failures are important considerations for all organizations today. iChart provides an Internet alternative to acquiring a complete onsite backup Enterprise Express dictation system. For a monthly fee, iChart offers access to the Data Center system, which is maintained with appropriate user information to permit you to move physicians over to this system to keep dictating while the onsite system is not is use. Once the local system is restored, transcriptionists can access the work at iChart for completion.
