More and more drivers appreciate the benefits of controlling in-car functions by voice and the reduced risk of driver distraction. Nuance commissioned studies like “Automotive Voice User Interface Survey” or the recent J.D. Power Report confirm the increasing popularity of speech recognition features in cars and navigation systems.
Maix study shows an excitingly high acceptance and usage rate of speech-enabled functions. Study found eight out of nine owners of speech-enabled cars are active users of these functions and over 70% revealed a high level of satisfaction.
University of Braunschweig study found that voice interface reduces distraction, improves driving performance and lowers the level of perceived stress.
