On the go legal notes and summaries
Brad Wixen spends all day in his car driving to physicians’ offices and cross-examining them about their reports on behalf of other lawyers handling civil, malpractice, and workers comp cases. Previously, that meant waiting until he returned to his office before he could compile notes and create summaries. Because he uses Dragon, now he simply speaks everything he needs into an audio recorder while in his car and downloads the files to his computer, where Dragon creates transcripts of what he said. He estimates he saves half the time it used to take.
Keeping a solo-practitioner practice humming
Isaac Jaroslawicz’s legal practice is a one-lawyer shop with no full-time paralegals, yet with expertise in a wide variety of cases, including civil litigation and state and federal appeals, tools that can save him time are invaluable. Isaac relies on Dragon Legal for day-to-day tasks including writing reports, briefs, letters, memoranda, emails, and more. “The [vocabulary] is incredible, and the range of terms that it picks up accurately is beautiful. For example, I was surprised at how accurately it recognized Writ of Certiorari, which many lawyers have trouble pronouncing correctly,” he say.
