Getting rid of paper documents has never been easier. Don’t limit your office’s scanning to the few individuals that may have scanners at their desks. Allow everyone to scan and index paper documents directly from your multi-function copiers using the eCopy Connector for Captaris Alchemy software.

Supporting the full Alchemy security model, users login at the eCopy-enabled device using their network user name & password. The user scans the document & selects one of the Alchemy databases that they have permission to access. The profile fields & dropdowns for that database are shown, allowing the user to index the document directly at the eCopy console. Using predefined paths built using the data entered, the documents are then stored in the Alchemy repository for archiving. It can be as simple as: Scan - Select - Index.

Features:
Dynamic Alchemy Folders
Create static folders or dynamically create the Alchemy folder structure using the index data, static text and/or the system date.

Dynamic Document Title
Dynamically create the Document Title using the index data, static text and/or the system date.

Lookup Fields
Use the lookup table functionality built into Alchemy, or create them using the connector configuration tool to display drop down values on the eCopy device. Create lookups for any field, including Document Title.

Required Fields
Choose which Alchemy fields will be required during the eCopy indexing. Users are warned and not allowed to continue until required fields have been indexed.

Multiple eCopy Profiles
Define and apply different connector configurations to multiple eCopy devices. This allows you to present different Alchemy indexing options at different eCopy device office locations.
