OmniPage Capture CSDK Integrated PDF Toolkit

The OmniPage Capture SDK's Integrated PDF Toolkit allow developers to instantly PDF-Enable a wide range of applications through the use of high-level PDF import and export functions.

The system's new PDF tools allow developers to broaden the functionality and usefulness of their applications by providing the ability to re-purpose PDF content "locked" in PDF documents for processing and output.

PDF Tools

  • Converting From PDF
Converting from PDF gives users the freedom to manipulate content that was once captured in an image format. The information once locked away in read-only PDF files can be converted to a fully editable file - with all formatting retained. The formatting is crucial, since documents with graphics, tables and columns are often faster to re-create than re-format.
  • Converting To PDF
Converting to PDF allows users to save any converted page or image file as a PDF document. PDF Output allows images and paper documents to be transformed into PDF files for searching, indexing and cross platform distribution. Four forms of PDF output are supported: PDF Normal, PDF with Image substitutes, PDF Image-only and PDF Image on Text.
  • PDF Reading Speed
New PDF parsing technology makes the OmniPage Capture SDK PDF reading the fastest available.
  • PDF Overlay Matching
Checks OCR output against underlying text for dramatically better conversion results - provides 100% character recognition accuracy for the majority of commonly used PDF formats.
  • PDF output
Create encrypted PDF or place digital signatures in PDF.
  • Creates smaller PDF with MRC-PDF technology
Multi-Raster Content technology segments PDF files into layers and applies different compression algorithms to each layer, thus optimizing both file size and quality.
  • Generates PDF/Archive (PDF/A) tagged files
PDF/A is a constrained form of Adobe PDF version 1.4 intended to be suitable for long-term preservation of page-oriented documents for which PDF is already being used in practice.
