VoCon SSE

VoCon® Speech Signal Enhancement (SSE) is a suite of technologies that work together to remove noise from microphone input and send out a cleaner signal. Supporting both single and multiple microphone systems, VoCon SSE is especially useful in telephony applications where cleaner signals result in a superior user experience. VoCon SSE’s barge-in and talk-over capabilities allow for more natural user interactions without compromising speech recognition performance.

Features

Robust full duplex echo-canceller (Type 1)
Eliminates trade-off between echo suppression and double-talk performance

High-quality noise reduction
Delivers 10-12 dB noise reduction without significantly impairing speech quality

Adaptive microphone self-calibration
Improves robustness against microphone mismatch

Echo and noise suppression
Improves the microphone signal resulting in more audible telephone conversations and better speech recognition performance

Wind noise suppression
Improves the microphone signal which is often impaired by wind noise —from climate control fans and open windows or convertible tops — in automotive applications.

Beamforming and post-filtering
Improves the microphone signal resulting in more audible telephone conversations and better speech recognition performance

Generic beamformer implementation
Supports configuration to nearly arbitrary microphone geometries and eliminates tuning efforts

Quality standards
Supports VDA and ITU standards for qualification of hands-free systems

Scalable ANSI C library
Available for fixed-point and floating-point processors and can be used on nearly every general purpose processor or DSP
