Eric CollinsGeneral Manager, Tegic Business Unit |
As General Manager of the Tegic Business Unit Eric is responsible for the full product set from Tegic including T9 predictive text, XT9 and the new Tegic Discovery Tool. Eric joined Nuance from the Tegic acquisition where he was most recently the vice president of sales and marketing for the Tegic unit of AOL.
Prior to Tegic, Mr. Collins was a Founding Managing Partner at ThoughtBridge, a negotiation strategy firm specializing in mergers, alliances and collective bargaining deal making. While at ThoughtBridge, Mr. Collins was responsible for managing several client relationships, including E! Entertainment Television, Nickelodeon, Kodak, Anderson Consulting (Accenture), The National Education Association and the American Federation of Teachers. Prior to ThoughtBridge, Mr. Collins was a Partner at Conflict Management, Inc. Thoughtbridge is a spin-off of CMI. Also prior to AOL, Mr. Collins was involved in two technology start-ups. As Interim COO of Himachal Systems, a negotiations software company, Mr. Collins was responsible for all business development strategy and execution. Mr. Collins was also founder of SpeedSolve, an internet backbone service provider that received patents for its automated process for resolving customer complaints. Mr. Collins serves as a Trustee for the Boston Symphony Orchestra as well as sat on the Visiting Committee for Boston’s Museum of Fine Arts. Mr. Collins also serves as Secretary and Treasurer of Sweaty Palm Productions and a General Partner of GravyTrain Partners, responsible for the production of the motion picture Legal Deceit aka, The Promised Land which has aired domestically on HBO and Cinemax since February 2000.
Mr. Collins received his JD from the Harvard Law School and his bachelors degree from Princeton University with a major in Public and International Affairs and a minor in African American Studies.
