Steve Chambers
President, Nuance Mobile and Enterprise Services Division
Steve Chambers leads the company's mobile and enterprise businesses. Previously Steve was president of Nuance’s Mobile & Consumer Services division. In recent years Steve has been the driving element in our expanded presence in the mobile market. His experience in speech is unparalleled among enterprise and mobile businesses.
Steve came to Nuance in August 2003 as part of the SpeechWorks acquisition, where he served as senior vice president, worldwide sales and chief marketing officer, after joining the company in 1999. Previously, Steve held chief marketing officer roles at Arbortext, Inc., VDOnet and PictureTel Corporation and was a consultant for a division of McKinsey Corporation. Steve holds a B.A. from Wesleyan University, and an M.B.A. and Masters in Communications and Science degree from Boston University.
Arnd Weil
General Managers of the Automotive Business
Arnd Weil is General Manager of Automotive, PND & Electronics within the Nuance Mobile and Enterprise Division. He is responsible for worldwide P&L of the Automotive, PND and Electronics business including all product management and marketing. Previously, Arnd headed the Embedded Product Management team. Until Nuance’s acquisition of Lernout & Hauspie Speech N.V., Arnd Weil was Product Manager and Sales Consultant at Dictaphone and L&H. Prior to that he held positions at the Research Center of Deutsche Telekom.
Arnd Weil graduated with a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Technical University of Darmstadt.
Brian Redpath
EMEA Director of Mobility Solution Sales
Brian Redpath leads Nuance’s work in Mobile solutions in both distributed and embedded segments. In his position, Brian works with Mobile Operators, Manufacturers and Enterprises to help them capture the value inherent in Nuance’s mobile solution set.
Brian has worked for Nuance in this field since early 2007. Previously he has worked for Adobe/Macromedia as Telecommunications Director in EMEA, and earlier for Microsoft as Global Account Manager for Vodafone. Prior to this Brian held both Sales and Sales Engineering roles for IBM in Telecoms, Retail and Government sectors.
Brian holds a BSC in Economics and Econometrics from Loughborough University. He is married with three children and lives in UK.
Eric Collins
Mobile Marketing, Mobile Division
Eric Collins supports the Mobile Division led by Michael Thompson. Eric is responsible for all activities related to mobile strategy, product marketing, deal support, market development, communications and M&A. Previously, Eric held the role of General Manager of the Tegic Business Unit . He was responsible for the full product set from Tegic including T9 predictive text, XT9 and the new Tegic Discovery Tool.
Eric joined Nuance from the Tegic acquisition where he was most recently the vice president of sales and marketing for the Tegic unit of AOL. Eric received his JD from the Harvard Law School and his bachelors degree from Princeton University with a major in Public and International Affairs and a minor in African American Studies.
Michael Thompson
Senior Vice President and General Manager Mobile
Michael Thompson will support the Mobile business led by Steve Chambers. Michael is responsible for the worldwide P&L of the Mobile business, which includes Speech and Text solutions for 2 major markets; Mobile Operators & Devices and Automotive, PDN, & Electronics.
Mike started at SpeechWorks in 1999 and has held a variety of roles in domestic and international marketing. Most recently, Mike has been the General Manager of the Search & Communications business unit. Prior to joining SpeechWorks, Mike worked as a management consultant and an electrical engineer. He earned his MBA at Cornell University. He holds a Professional Engineers license in mechanical engineering and completed his undergraduate studies at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.
Nick Talbott
Vice President, Global Mobility Sales
Nick Talbott leads the company’s global efforts for the selling of Nuance’s Mobility Solutions. In his position, Nick works with both Mobile Operators and Handset Manufacturers to help them increase the value of their mobile offerings by applying Nuance’s advanced text input and speech solutions.
An American National, Nick recently relocated to Europe to work more closely with the top mobile companies in the region. Nick joined Nuance in 2006 from Adobe Systems where he was responsible for Telco Sales with a particular focus on the mobile market.
Previously, Nick held positions at Macromedia, MatrixOne, Genesys, Sun Microsystems, Sequent Computer Systems and Hewlett Packard. Nick has over 20 years in the IT industry. Nick holds a BA from the University of Georgia, and an MBA from The American Graduate School of International Management (Thunderbird).
Philippe Jeanrenaud
Director Speech Mobility Marketing, EMEA
Philippe Jeanrenaud joined Nuance (former ScanSoft) early 2005 as Product Marketing manager for all embedded solutions. Philippe has over 15 year of experience in the development and deployment of speech-based applications in the telephony environment. Prior to joining Nuance Philippe worked at BBN, PureSpeech, Wildfire and Orange where he was heading the Speech Technology group. During his tenure at Wildfire, he worked on large-scale deployments of speech-enabled voicemail platforms for major US and European wireless carriers; after the acquisition by Orange in 2000, he led technology integration projects with some of Orange’s key partners.
Philippe has a Diploma from the Swiss Institute of Technology (Lausanne) and a MS from the Georgia Institute of Technology (Atlanta). Philippe also holds a Management degree from the MIT Sloan School.
