Nuance views technical support as a resource for our customers. In addition to the product's Help system, we offer free online resources including downloadable documents as well as an extensive "Knowledge Base" providing detailed answers for all editions and versions — frequently updated by our team, it includes explanations of errors and steps to address specific situations. To help customers resolve their specific technical issues, Nuance also offers individualized Technical Support via email or phone (see below).
There is no charge for inquiries related to a product bug, or for questions that are not already covered within the free resources listed above. Reasonable inquiries regarding installation and setup are also handled free of charge. Nuance does not charge for the first issue one reports by phone. We do charge for a small fraction of our technical support services; "tickets" can be opened by completing the online Problem Report Form at a cost of $9.95 per report.
