- ScanSoft, Inc. (Nasdaq: SSFT), a worldwide leader in paper-to-digital
solutions, today announced that its best-selling paper management software,
PaperPort Deluxe®, will be bundled with some of Konica Europe's series
7xxx digital printer/copiers with scanning capability. This agreement
marks the first time that ScanSoft's PaperPort® will be bundled with
some of Konica's products. The product will be sold through Konica Business
Machines Europe GmbH's established European distribution channel, as
well as through the Konica B.M. companies.
"We see PaperPort as a powerful complement to our networked digital
copiers/scanners," said Dirk Wetzel, Senior Manager New Business Development
for Konica. "It broadens the use of our products to make them the heart

help of PaperPort, the world's best-selling paper management software,
digital documents are quickly and easily stored and accessed from a
single location, saving time and increasing overall productivity. PaperPort
is a key component in moving paper from desks and filing cabinets on
to the desktop, where it can be shared, managed, organized and edited
by users across the network.
Real-Time, High-Speed Scan Technology With rated speeds from
20 copies-per-minute to75 prints/copies-per-minute respectively, the
7xxx series Konica products provide real-time, high-speed scan technology.
This technology allows each page of a document to be automatically scanned
and stored into memory virtually simultaneously, increasing reliability
over time (due to fewer moving parts) while still offering the superior
copy quality and productivity of "scan-once, print-many" technology.
