ScanSoft Joins Kodak's Document Imaging ISV Programp

PEABODY, Mass., - January 16, 2002 - ScanSoft, Inc. (NASDAQ: SSFT), a leading supplier of imaging, speech and language solutions, and Eastman Kodak Co. (NYSE: EK) today announced that ScanSoft® has joined Kodak's Document Imaging ISV program.

As part of the relationship, Kodak has designated ScanSoft's market leading OmniPage Pro® 11, PaperPort Deluxe®8.0 and OmniForm® Premium 5.0 productivity applications to be included in the program. To achieve this recognition, ScanSoft completed a rigorous process to certify technical compatibility with Kodak products as well as demonstrate exceptional value for prospective Kodak customers. As part of the relationship, Kodak's global network of value-added resellers (VARs) will now offer ScanSoft's products to corporate workgroups and departments across a broad customer base.
