“I Speak Dragon!” Contest Invites the Dragon NaturallySpeaking User Community to Raise Its Voice, Share Stories about the Impact of Speech Recognition

BURLINGTON, Mass., April 24, 2008 – Nuance Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ: NUAN), a leading provider of speech and imaging solutions, today launched the “I Speak Dragon!” contest whereby Dragon® NaturallySpeaking® users can share their unique experiences using the world’s most popular speech recognition solution. People are invited to submit their stories about how Dragon has enhanced and transformed their lives via the Nuance Web site www.nuance.com/dragonstories between April 24 and June 30, 2008. Three winning user stories will be selected, and the winning entrants will each receive a Garmin Nuvi 360 Personal Travel Assistant as well as Dragon NaturallySpeaking upgrades for three years.

Dragon NaturallySpeaking turns speech into text at up to 160 words per minute, with up to 99 percent accuracy. Dragon NaturallySpeaking adds the power of speech recognition to nearly every Microsoft Windows-based application, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Internet Explorer, as well as Corel WordPerfect, FireFox and more. The “I Speak Dragon!” contest is open to US users of Dragon NaturallySpeaking who are interested in sharing their stories.
