About dictation sources

A dictation source is an audio input device that you use to dictate with Dragon. Dragon supports the following audio devices:

• Headsets
• Hand-held microphones
• Digital recorders
• The Nuance PowerMic

One or more.

If you use multiple devices to dictate, add each as a dictation source to your user profile. Although you can create separate user profiles for each device instead, multiple profiles cannot share a vocabulary, so it's better to keep all your dictation sources within one user profile.

You can't add a dictation source to a transcription user profile.
