Using Dragon on a Windows tablet

If you're using Dragon on a Windows tablet, you can touch the DragonBar and other user interface objects, like dialog boxes, using your finger. Generally, you use your finger just as you would use a mouse. Below are some things you need to know when using Dragon on a Windows tablet.

You cannot use the Tray icon only DragonBar display mode when you're using Dragon on Windows 10 in Tablet mode. For more information, see Using display modes.

To turn the microphone on:

Tap Dragon's microphone on the DragonBar.

You can't turn the microphone on by voice.

To turn the microphone off:

Do one of the following:

  • Tap Dragon's microphone on the DragonBar.
  • Say "Microphone Off".

To expand the DragonBar:

If auto-collapse is selected on the DragonBar or DragonBar, tap anywhere on the DragonBar.

If auto-collapse is deselected, do one of the following:

  • Say "Expand DragonBar".
  • Tap anywhere on the DragonBar outside Dragon's microphone.

To collapse the DragonBar:

If auto-collapse is selected on the DragonBar or DragonBar, tap anywhere outside the DragonBar.

If auto-collapse is deselected, do one of the following:

  • Say "Collapse DragonBar".
  • Tap anywhere on the DragonBar outside Dragon's microphone.

To select from a menu:

  1. Say "Switch to DragonBar".
  2. Say "<menu name>".
  3. Say "<menu option>".

Or

Tap a menu to expand it, and then tap the menu option.
