| How SLP Works |
|
Pricing is determined by the type of organization (Corporate, Government and Academic) total number of users for the Site at the time of purchase. A summary of Corporate, Government and Academic categories is below:
- Corporate (SLP-C)
Any profit-making organization as well as any organization not qualified for SLP Government or SLP Academic.
- Government (SLP-G)
Any local, state and federal organization, including military and defense organizations. The SLP-G agreement can also be used by any not-for-profit non-governmental organization (NGO) such as the Red Cross, or not-for-profit organization, such as not-for-profit hospitals.
- Academic (SLP-A)
Any certified institution of learning, including trade schools, K-12, community colleges, colleges and universities. The seats calculation for a Site can be defined to be staff and faculty (meaning that students are not licensed in the SLP), or can be staff, faculty and students (where the entire campus is licensed to use the product.)
NOTE: Nuance preserves the right to make the final decision on SLP category for which an organization is qualified to use.
Deployment is allowed to all users at the Site.

Deployment is not allowed for any locations other than those specifically listed in the agreement, including new buildings erected at the licensed location or any locations acquired by the licensed location. The licensed institution is not required to track the number of number of users or desktops at any time.
Adding Locations: If a licensed location grows through acquisition or development of new building structures, those locations may be licensed by amending the Exhibit A of the Enterprise agreement to include the new physical locations. The number of individuals at the new locations may be added to the original number in the master agreement to determine the Medical Enterprise pricing tier. The delta between the current price for the total amount of individuals and the current price of the number of individuals on the initial agreement will be due at the time of signing the amendment. If the licensed location in the original agreement is under upgrade assurance and/or technical support, the new locations must also purchase maintenance for 15% of the license fees due.
