Course Description

OpenSpeech Recognizer (OSR) for Developers

OpenSpeech recognizer is a state-of-the-art, highly-configurable speech recognition engine for use in telephony and VoIP speech applications. Whether application developers use VoiceXML or a development tool, whether they use OpenSpeech DialogModules or OpenSpeech Dialog, this course provides essential information on optimally using the OpenSpeech Recognizer. This course explains the architecture and functionality of the OpenSpeech Recognizer so that developers can work directly with parameters, logging requirements, and grammars as they build speech applications. Participants are exposed to OSR’s runtime licensing. Participants become familiar with the baseline configuration files, and can describe parameter values as well as configuration strategies to be employed at baseline, context, call or application level. The course discusses built-in grammars and caching of external grammars. Both event logging and diagnostic logging are discussed. Participants will be exposed to the OSR grammar tools and advanced functionality.
