Q. What is your cancellation policy?

A. We make every effort not to cancel classes. However, we reserve the right to do so if enrollment is low.

eCampus:

  • If we cancel an eCampus class, students will be advised three business days in advance by e-mail.
  • To cancel your eCampus class registration, the request must be submitted via e-mail to training@nuance.com at least five business days prior to the class to receive a full refund. If the cancellation is between four days and one day prior to the class, or the student does not attend the live eCampus class, a refund will not be issued. In this instance, the recorded class session will be made available to the student via the Internet.

Classroom:

  • If we cancel a standard classroom session, students will be advised ten business days in advance by e-mail.
  • We understand that occasionally you may need to cancel a student reservation. All cancellations must be submitted to training@nuance.com at least five business days prior to the class to receive a full refund. Cancellations made between four business days and two business days of the class may result in a $500 USD cancellation fee. Cancellations made one business day prior to class may result in a $1000 USD cancellation fee.

Q. Does Speech University offer certification?

A. At present, Speech University does not provide a formal certification exam process. We have defined class packages, which define a sequence of courses that will help build particular skill sets necessary for speech team members. Q. Where are your training centers?

A. Our primary training facility in North America is at Nuance headquarters in Burlington, Massachusetts. We also offer training at our Sunnyvale, California facility, our Woking, UK office, and our Aachen, Germany office.

A. Nuance Speech University and the former SpeechWorks Institute have trained students from hundreds of companies, including telephony platform partners, implementation partners, enterprise care customers, and more.
