More and more people are using mobile handsets in order to stay connected and productive—even when on the go. While headsets have greatly enhanced safety and convenience for mobile handset users, they don’t eliminate the need to look at the device display. Consider a situation in which you have a headset and get a call or a new text message when your handset is out of view. You have no choice but to answer without knowing who’s calling, to let the call go to voice mail, or to wait until you’re settled to read your new text messages.
Nuance Speech2Go addresses this need in a simple way, enabling users to enjoy a safer mobile experience—whether driving, exercising, or engaged in another activity. The Speech2Go reader automatically announces the caller ID for incoming calls and reads out your incoming text messages, allowing you to stay safely focused on the task at hand. Once the reader mode is turned on, Speech2Go announces incoming calls—via speakerphone or through your Bluetooth headset—either by name (if the name is contained in your address book) or by phone number. This allows you to screen your calls in situations where you don’t have ready access to your handset. Similarly, Speech2Go can automatically read out any new text message, keeping you informed and connected even when your handset is out of view.
Both caller ID and SMS Reader features are fully configurable, allowing the user to determine, for example, whether caller information should be repeated and at what intervals.
