VoCon® Mobile is a family of speech recognition solutions primarily targeting Voice Activated Dialing applications on mobile handsets. VoCon Mobile XGT is an embedded, phoneme-based speaker independent speech interface solution for mobile devices, combined with voice feedback for recognized name, number and command confirmation.
VoCon Mobile XGT is the latest enhancement of the VoCon Mobile family featuring speaker independent speech recognition for commands, continuous digits and names on mobile handsets. By adding the ability to read back person names, numbers and a range of commands VoCon Mobile now creates the most comprehensive and versatile voice interface available for mobile devices.
VoCon Mobile is based on smARTspeak® and has been deployed in more than 30 million handsets worldwide with about 30 handset and chipset manufacturers.
Key Features
With swift and accurate recognition based on phonemic identification, VoCon Mobile needs no training to provide instant name dialing, continuous digit dialing, and menu navigation in response to a user's voice. Now, once a name and number are stored in the device, just saying "Call John Smith in his office" activates the device to call John Smith's office number (One Shot functionality). VoCon Mobile's sophisticated recognition software responds with equal accuracy no matter how the sentence is structured. Thus "Call John Smith in his office" or "John Smith office" both generate the same result—providing the ultimate out-of-the-box user experience.
In addition, a new Best Match method presents, when recognition is uncertain due to harsh environment, a short-list of closest options as either text or voice list. VoCon Mobile gives mobile device users new levels of convenience considering the challenge for manually selecting a specific entry out of an address book with hundreds of names.
