| Error message "Invalid Pass Key" |
The issue is most likely an invalid PIN in your registration. You probably registered through Handango with an older devices Pin. In order to signup for Nuance Voice Control, you need a valid Pin for the device you are loading Nuance Voice Control onto.
You need to go to https://www.handango.com/GoPass.jsp?siteId=1 ->click "My Profile" -> click "edit" -> change your Device Identifier to your PIN number.
To get your correct Pass Key go to: http://www.nvcnow.com/handango

| Error message "Max BIBS Connections" |
In fact, Nextel limits the number of public connections through BIBS to maintain control of scale. The connection limit is 6 concurrent connections. RIM closes connections that are open from email, web browsing and other activities after about 40 seconds. So if you have a browser open or have recently surfed pages this can happen.
Additionally, if you are in an area of low coverage or poor quality signal this can happen with our app too. Third party applications such as Yahoo Messenger and BlackBerry Messenger being logged in can cause this problem as well. We recommend making sure these applications are not signed unless you are actively using them.
To fix it reset your blackberry by taking out the battery. This will reset the BIBS connections.
If you are connected to a BES you can set the On a BES flag in our application and this will not happen because there is no limit to BES connections.
Other than that, we really cannot affect the problem. This is the way BIBS works and the real solution from RIM is to get a BES.

Select Change Option and select an email address. Rest your device by taking out the battery for 10 seconds then put it back in.
If you don't have an email address. You need to setup an email address on your device. You can set up an email address by going to:
https://webclient.blackberry.net/WebMail/Window.jsp?site=nextel

| Recognition could not be established: |
This is most often caused by a security setting. If you are not on a BES, you can change this on your BlackBerry by going to Options->Security Options->Application Permissions. Click on "Voice Control" and select "Edit Permissions". Make sure all Connections are allowed. Also, under Interactions, allow "Keystroke Injection". Exit out of all the options screens and try Voice Control again.
If you do not have the Application Permissions screen, you most likely have a version of the BlackBerry OS prior to 4.1.0. You can download the latest version by going to the following link on your desktop computer.

| Problem with email Sent using Unknown service book |
Make sure that you have a service book entry that ends with [CMIME]
Options -> Advanced options -> SERVICE BOOK -> CMIME
Make sure everything looks alright in the Message Services, that is, it shouldn't say disabled or none or not found
Options -> Advanced options -> Messages Services
If all that looks right, all you should have to do is reboot the device by pulling the battery for a few seconds.
|
| Does it work with Bluetooth? |
No, because the manufacturer, Research In Motion, does not have an API to access the bluetooth device.
Once a phone call has been made you can then talk using bluetooth but the command must be spoken into the device
|
| Show Contact does not work: |
To Fix this go to: Options->Security Options->Application Permissions. Click on "Voice Control" and select "Edit Permissions". Make sure all Connections are allowed. Also, under Interactions, allow "Keystroke Injection".
If you are on a BES you may not be able to set Keystroke Injections to allow. Unfortunately, this is caused by your BES Administrator. You would need to talk with them to have this changed. We only use this feature for the "Show Contact" command because RIM does not offer an API to access this function.
|
| Kill due to message queue overflow: |
Usually this message occurs when the device is running low on memory. The reason for this is because we download a series of help files onto the device in case you ask the device "What can I say?" However, if there is not enough "disk" space on the device this will happen. Our recommendation is to delete old emails that you don't want as your device is probably going to fill up soon whether you decide to use our application or not.
You can go to a date in your email inbox and when you click the track wheel you can "Delete Prior" this will delete anything older than the date or you can simply delete individually. Look for emails with attachments as they are commonly the biggest problem. After you do this, you may want to pull the battery on the device to reset it.
|
| Application stops working: |
There are a few things to verify when the application stops working for no apparent reason:
- Do you have a Capital NXTL (carefully make sure you have a capitol L)
- Can you successfully launch your web browser to take you to a website. The valid web browsers to open are ONLY "Internet Browser" (for webclient users) or "BlackBerry Browser" (for BES users).
- Verify that you have enough battery strength to execute wireless commands
If the above are all true, then you probably should consider Launching our Configuration application from the main BlackBerry Screen. Just go into it and Then back out. Try our software again. If that still doesn't work, then you should reset your device and try one more time.
