Tools>DragonPad>View menu>
Use the DragonPad Settings dialog box—Options tab to specify measurement units and automatic word selection.

Measurement units |
Measurement unit type for the document. The default unit depends on the Windows Regional Settings control panel setting. |

Automatic word selection |
If selected, you select a whole word when you drag your mouse over text. If deselected, you select one character at a time. |
