Manual entry/Communication information dialog box

To set up the microphone application:

  1. On the mobile device, open the Dragon Remote Mic Application.
  2. Open the Settings screen.
    • On iOS devices, tap the gears icon in the lower right corner of the app screen.
    • On Android-based devices, press the Menu button and then tap the gears icon.
  1. Tap Manual Entry.
  2. Using the information supplied by Dragon, enter the Dragon Profile Name, the Computer Name or IP Address, and 51001 for the computer port number.
  3. Tap Done. The microphone screen will now display the name of the Profile you selected.
  1. Tap the microphone button. If it turns green , you have a successful connection and can start using your device as a wireless microphone for Dragon.
Option Description
Current Profile name Name of the user profile you are using with the Dragon Remote Microphone Application.
Computer name Name of your computer. You named your computer when you first set it up. This name may also have been assigned by a network administrator.
IP address

Internet Protocol address or addresses of your computer. An IP address is a numeric label assigned to your computer that identifies it on the network and is used by other network devices to communicate with it.

If Could not acquire IP address appears, ensure that your computer's connection to the network is working properly. For more information, see Network considerations for the Dragon Remote Microphone application.

If your wireless connection is not reliable, use your wired connection.

Computer Port Port number that Dragon reserves for your mobile device. A port is a software channel that allows one computer or device to communicate with another computer or device. Dragon assigns port 51001 to communicate with the Dragon Remote Microphone Application. You cannot change this port assignment.
