About formatting text automatically

Automatic formatting allows you to dictate without having to format specific words or text types manually or by voice. Use the following to enable automatic text formatting:

• Word Properties—Provides formatting options for specific words in Dragon's vocabulary. For more information, see Vocabulary Editor dialog box.
• Auto-Formatting rules—Provides formatting options for specific text types, like email addresses. For more information, see Auto-Formatting dialog box.

With automatic formatting enabled, you can also enable Smart Format Rules, which prompt you when you edit text that Dragon formatted automatically.
