About dictation sources

A dictation source is an audio input device that you use to dictate with Dragon. Dragon supports the following audio devices:

  • Headsets
  • Hand-held microphones
  • Mobile devices
  • Digital recorders

You can use multiple dictation sources with a single user profile. This allows you to use the same vocabulary with different audio devices.
Optional? No. You must have at least one to use Dragon.

Maximum allowed Unlimited.
Where to configure

  • In the setup wizard when you initially install Dragon.

    Or

  • In the Manage Dictation Sources dialog box. From the DragonBar, select Profile>Manage Dictation Sources.
