Working with user profiles

A user profile is a set of files that Dragon uses to process what you say. Your user profile stores information, like the type of microphone you use, custom words, and vocabularies.

This topic describes non-Roaming user profiles. For information on working with Roaming user profiles, see Working with Roaming user profiles.

To upgrade your user profile:

For information on upgrading your Roaming user profiles, see Working with Roaming user profiles.

If you upgraded automatically, Dragon upgrades your user profiles the first time you open them after upgrading Dragon. If you chose not to upgrade your profiles, you can upgrade them later by selecting Dragon Medical Practice Edition>Dragon Medical Practice Edition Tools>Upgrade User Profiles (Windows 7) or Dragon Medical Practice Edition>Upgrade User Profiles (Windows 8.1 and 10) from the Windows Start menu.
