About Nuance Management Center/NMS mode

About

Nuance Management Center/NMS mode is a setting that your Dragon administrator can enable in the following Dragon editions:

  • Dragon Professional Group
  • Dragon Legal Group
  • Dragon Law Enforcement

When enabled, NMS mode allows your Dragon administrator to manage options, custom words, and some commands from the Nuance Management Center (NMC) console.

With NMS mode enabled, Dragon uploads some objects and settings to the NMC server. When you log in to a different computer, Dragon downloads the objects and settings, ensuring they are available on each computer where you log in to Dragon. The following are available wherever you log in to Dragon:

  • Custom words you created

Custom words are available on all computers where you log in only if your NMC administrator has enabled the option to upload custom words in the NMC console. If this option is not enabled, your custom words are available only on the computer where you created them. Your custom words are available only to you.

  • Commands (auto-text, step-by-step, and advanced scripting commands only)

Your macro recorder commands are available only on the computer where you created them.

  • Command sets

You cannot create command sets in the Dragon client. Your NMC administrator imports them in the NMC console and makes them available to you.

  • Some Options dialog box settings
  • Auto-formatting options

When NMS mode is disabled, your Dragon installation is in Standalone mode.

Optional?

Yes.
