Upgrading to Legal

If you are using a Dragon edition where Nuance Management Center/NMS mode is disabled (Standalone mode), you change your serial number in the Dragon client. You must have the serial number you received when you purchased the Legal edition. When Nuance Management Center/NMS mode is enabled, you import your license key and allocate the available licenses in the Nuance Management Center (NMC) console.

To upgrade from Dragon Professional Individual to Dragon Legal Individual:

  1. From the DragonBar, select Settings>Options.

  2. Click the Upgrade to Legal page.
  3. Specify your serial number in the New serial number field, and then click OK.

To upgrade from Dragon Professional Group to Dragon Legal Group (Standalone mode):

Use this procedure when Nuance Management Center/NMS mode is disabled (Standalone mode). You change your serial number in the Dragon client.

  1. From the DragonBar, select Settings>Administrative Settings.

    A message appears, indicating that Dragon must close your user profile.

  2. Click Proceed.

    The Administrative Settings dialog box appears.

  3. Click the Miscellaneous tab.
  4. Click the Change serial number button.

    The Change serial number dialog box appears.

  5. Specify your serial number in the New serial number field.
  6. Click OK.

To verify that your edition changed, re-open the Change serial number dialog box. Your current edition appears in the Old serial number field.

To upgrade from Dragon Professional Group to Dragon Legal Group (NMS mode):
