Working with Microsoft PowerPoint—Working with presentations

These procedures use Natural Language Commands. To use them, you must have enabled the Enable Natural Language Commands option and the Enable Microsoft PowerPoint commands option on the Options dialog box—Commands page. For more information, see About Natural Language Commands.

Full Text Control is not available in PowerPoint. For more information, see About Full Text Control and About the Dictation Box.

For a list of commands you can use in PowerPoint, say "What Can I Say?" at any time.

To add a new slide:

Say "Add a New Slide".

To add a title slide:

Say "Add a Title Slide".

To bold, italicize, or underline text:

  1. Select a word, line, or paragraph using Global Commands.

  2. Say one of the following:

    • "Bold the Selection"
    • "Italicize the Selection"
    • "Underline the Selection"

To select text:

Use Global Commands.

For more information, see Selecting and deselecting text.

To delete text:

  1. Select the text to delete.

    For more information, see Selecting and deselecting text.

  2. Say "Delete the Selection".

To create a bulleted list:

Do one of the following:

On a new line, say "Bullet That".

Or

  1. Select the text.

    For more information, see Selecting and deselecting text.

  2. Say "Bullet That".

To unbullet text:

Do one of the following:

Say "Unbullet That".

Or

  1. Select the text.

    For more information, see Selecting and deselecting text.

  2. Say "Unbullet That".

To view a slide show:

  1. Say "View Slide Show".

    The slide show opens.

  2. Say "Press Enter" to view the next slide.
  3. Say "Press Escape" to end the slide show.
