Playing back dictation

To play back your dictation:

  1. Open your dictated document.
  2. Do one of the following:

    • From the DragonBar, select Tools>Playback.
    • Use the Playback hot key. By default, this is the Shift key and the minus sign (-) on the numeric keypad.

To play back specific text:

  1. Say one of the following:

    • "Select <text> through <text>" (US and Canada only)
    • "Select <text> to <text>" (all other regions)

    The Correction menu opens.

  2. Say "Play That Back".

Or

Place the cursor where you want playback to begin, and then say one of the following:

  • "Play Back Line"
  • "Play Back Window"
  • "Play Back Paragraph"
  • "Play Back to Here"
  • "Play Back Document"
  • "Play Back from Here"
  • "Play Back Screen"
 

To stop playback:

Do one of the following:

  • Press ESC.
  • Click in the document window.

To restart playback:

Do one of the following:

  • From the DragonBar, select Tools>Playback.
  • Use the Playback hot key. By default, this is the Shift key and the minus sign (-) on the numeric keypad.

To rewind playback:

Use the Rewind hot key. By default, this is the Shift key and the forward slash key (/) on the numeric keypad.

To fast forward playback:

Use the Fast Forward hot key. By default, this is the Shift key and the asterisk key (*) on the numeric keypad.

To stop playback and correct text:

Use the Correction menu hot key. By default, this is the minus key (-) on the numeric keypad.
