Using and customizing the Dictation Box

Except in Web browsers, the Dictation Box opens automatically where Dragon doesn't have Full Text Control. It opens when you begin to speak and the Use the Dictation Box for unsupported applications option is selected on the Options dialog box—Miscellaneous page. You can optionally enable or disable this setting for specific applications.

If you typically use Dragon without much editing, consider opening the Dictation Box manually only when you need it by selecting Tools>Dictation Box from the DragonBar.
