NATO alphabet reference

The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) alphabet is also referred to as the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) alphabet, or the “military” alphabet. You can optionally spell words in the Spelling window using the NATO alphabet.

You can also use the NATO alphabet in Spell mode. You cannot use it during dictation.

If you are using the Dragon Law Enforcement edition, you can also use the NATO alphabet to dictate license plates and Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs). The NATO alphabet is the default phonetic alphabet for license plate dictation. Your site might choose to implement a different phonetic alphabet.
