Use the PowerMic page in the Options dialog box to change the default functionality of the buttons on your PowerMic. This page is available only if you have set up a PowerMic as a dictation source for your user profile, and it is plugged in to your computer.
The settings on this page only affect how the PowerMic operates with your user profile. Other user profiles are unaffected.
To change button actions:

From the Application drop-down list, select one of the following:
- Global—Change button assignments for dictation outside the Dictation Box.
- DictationBox—Change button assignments for dictation in the Dictation Box.
- Locate the button for which you want to change the action.

Click the drop-down menu next to the button in the Action column.
A sub-menu appears.
- Hover your mouse over a sub-menu, and then select an action.
- Click OK.
Default button actions
Unless otherwise specified, the defaults shown in the table below are the same for both Global and Dictation Box uses.

Sub-menus, actions, and descriptions
Ensure you first select an option from the Application drop-down list before changing a button assignment.

Cancel Recognition |

Speeds up audio playback of current dictation. |

Restore defaults |
To reset all items to their default settings, click Restore defaults. If you are using a Dragon edition where Nuance Management Center/NMS mode is enabled, your settings are restored to the options configured by your NMC administrator in the NMC console. If you are using a Dragon edition where Nuance Management Center/NMS mode is disabled, your settings are restored to the default settings for the Dragon client. |
